Residency Programme

A Space to Grow

The residency programme was created for artists, makers, workshop hosts and creative freelancers looking for a more consistent and inspiring place to develop their work. Whether you’re building a creative business, testing new ideas, hosting workshops or simply looking for dedicated creative space, the programme is designed to support long-term growth within a welcoming studio environment.

What Residents Receive

Residents receive four 4-hour studio sessions per month within a fixed weekly time slot, helping to create consistency for both their creative practice and audience. Alongside access to studio facilities, residents also become part of a growing creative community centred around collaboration, accessibility and shared artistic exploration.

At Artists’ Dover Studio, we believe creative spaces should feel accessible, supportive and community-led. Our residency programme was built to offer artists and facilitators a flexible alternative to traditional studio models, creating space for people to grow their ideas at their own pace whilst remaining connected to a wider creative network.

The programme is intentionally open and adaptable, welcoming a range of creative disciplines and approaches. Some residents use their sessions to host public workshops and events, while others focus on developing personal projects, building their portfolios or exploring new mediums in a calm and inspiring setting.

By offering a fixed weekly time slot each month, the residency helps residents build routine, visibility and familiarity within the studio, whilst also helping visitors and returning guests engage more consistently with the creative programme.
